About Me
I live in Central Arkansas and I am not a expert by all means, but I have owned snakes for about ten years though. I have read many books over ball python care and breeding, as well as many others about other breeds of snakes. I have experienced many challenges and have overcome them and can provide many tips to novice snake and ball python owners. I started with corn snakes and great plains rat snakes. I had these for many years and raised some offspring from them as well. I got a ball python about a year or two after the corn snakes and found that they are very interesting creatures. The first ball python I got was actually only because the owner neglected to care for it, so I guess you could say I rescued it. I also have another ball python which I came into possession in a similar manner. One of my friends decided to go out and buy a ball python, and was really unprepared for the task. The snake was neglected as well. Inadequate heating, cage, and was only six months old and was fed about once a month at most. I talked him into selling it to me and I had a little trouble with her at first. She was very unhealthy and would not eat for awhile. I finally got her back into a healthy environment with proper heating, space, and humidity and was finally able to coax her into eating again. Now six months later she has become extremely healthy and one of my favorite snakes I have ever owned.
